53' Tug/Pilot/Yacht Full Hull - Fully built, finished & painted Model
Laser cut Wood superstructure – Metal & resin parts– Resin hull
Actual Size: Length: 7-1/4“ Scale length: 53’
We were inspired to develop this tug/pilot/yacht after viewing a photograph we took of the tug “Cadet” resting in a Coast of Maine port on a cold winter day. The photo offered us a very limited view of the vessel but what a beauty.
The actual “Cadet” has a length of 40’, smoke stack coming up through the pilot house, and a beautiful wood door and entry off the rear of the engine room.
Our kit is 53’ long, free standing smoke stack, and a vent where their door is.
Our good friend George Barrett from Sheepscot Models provided us with the information on the actual Cadet.
CADET, built 1936, Kennebunkport, Maine, by documentation Specs; 12/8 – 38.2 x 11.2 x 4.6. 40’ LOA.
It is truly a classic vessel and easily inspired us to come up with this kit that has some similarities. This fine waterline model was hand crafted, finely painted and detailed by our Professional Craftsman model boat builder.
We sincerely hope you enjoy this vessel and that it brings further realism to your layout, diorama or on your mantel or bookcase.
We also offer this Tug/Pilot/Yacht in kit version both in waterline and Full Hull versions. Search under Quick Find using H004 which will pull up both versions of the kit.
