The open barge kit is a common sight that follows many prototype barges, once a common sight along the waterfront. They were used for loading and marine construction work such as dock building, vessel loading, salvage, and moving large rock for break walls and riprap etc.
This fine waterline model was hand crafted, finely painted and detailed by our Professional Craftsman model boat builder.
We sincerely hope you enjoy this model and that it brings further realism to your layout tied up at the dock or on the open water, or as it gives you pleasure just looking at it on your mantle or bookcase.
