This beautiful model is Professionally built/painted/detailed and is ready for your waterfront layout, diorama, bookcase or mantel.

Our inspiration to craft this model was a photo that a friend shared with us. We immediately fell in love with the Lannan. She was built by the James Clark & Co in the Baltimore MD area. Her engines are of the compound type, 6-1/2 “ + 13” in diameter of cylinders, with common pistons-stroke of 9”. Award boilers were used. She was put into police service in 1891 and worked the waters of MD. She retired in 1928 after accumulating an estimate mileage equal to eight times the distance around the earth. She continued her carrier working the east coast waters in various capacity until she was broken up for her metal in 1948. There is extensive additional information regarding the Lannan on line.
