Mid-section ONLY for our Great Lakes Freighter – Available separately for those who require a longer boat.
Our mid-section adds 72 scale feet (5.25″ in N-Scale) to our N-2050 Great Lakes Freighter kit.
After the St. Lawrence Seaway opened in 1959, many “canallers” were stretched to increase their length to add cargo capacity. Mid section includes cargo hatches, etched brass stanchions, and line for railings. Two mid sections may be added to the basic kit, and still be prototypical to some stretched boats.
Please note, this kit contains ONLY the parts for a mid section, and does not build into a complete boat on its own.
